Stingrays | Under 10's

This has been a great season for the Stingrays again.  Whilst results have not always gone our way we have continued to go from strength to strength in our development and it has been a real pleasure and a privilege to see the players develop as players, as a team and as friends; as well as welcoming in new players to the team.

One of the pleasure of coaching is seeing the players grow and develop each season and this year was no exception.  Our first match of the season saw one of the Stingrays score his first ever goal. Picking the ball up on the halfway line Freddy turned and skinned the defence powered into the box and coolly slotted the ball past the keeper.  Our best result was against Thames Valley Youth; a storming 7-3 victory with Oliver scoring his second Stingrays hat-trick, Sam Wetherall scoring from a great long range strike and Kieran hitting the bar from an audacious attempt from the halfway line.  A dominant performance from start to finish with every player contributing.

Other players have continued their development.  Cameron running like a Terrier that has eaten Duracell batteries and just never stopping.  Finn, Luke and Tomas developing into a terrific defensive unit. Henry H developing into a feisty number 10 and bagging a goal at the Sixes.  Ricky, Henry W chipping in with crucial goals and performances from midfield. Stingrays have also welcomed three new players this year, Seb, Matthew and Jassi all of whom have fitted in seamlessly.

The season was topped off by a great performance at the Sixes.  Well played Stingrays. The future looks bright!
